The University of Nebraska at Omaha invites the community to spend spring break in service. The university will be partnering with more than 20 local organizations for this year’s Seven Days of Service event.

Service opportunities will be available on Saturday, March 19 and the week of spring break, Monday, March 21 – Saturday, March 26. Seven Days of Service is open to the public.

Each day’s schedule is as follows:
8:30 a.m. Volunteers will check in at the Community Engagement Center, sign up for a service project and receive a free t-shirt. A free breakfast will also be provided.
9:00 a.m. Volunteers will be shuttled to service project sites
11:30 a.m. Lunch will be provided at service project sites
1:30 p.m. Volunteers will be shuttled back to UNO

Attendees will take part in a number of off-site activities, helping partner organizations that include Open Door Mission, Catholic Charities, Habitat for Humanity and Heartland Family Service.
Service opportunities will also be available at the Community Engagement Center from 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. daily, for all those who want to volunteer but are not free for the event’s entire duration.
Like all of UNO’s Signature Service Days, this service opportunity is organized by UNO’s Office of Civic and Social Responsibility, which connects UNO students, faculty, staff and community volunteers with meaningful and enriching service opportunities that benefit the greater Omaha metro area and beyond.
