Men’s soccer back in national polls at No. 23
The Omaha men’s soccer team is ranked No. 23 by the NCAA Division I Men’s National Poll, their first ranking by the NCAA. Omaha was ranked No. 22 by two weeks ago, but fell from the rankings after their loss to Marquette. The Mavericks received 76 points in the NSCAA rankings this week. Summit League foe Denver also made the ranking at No. 12. UNO ranks No. 2 in the NSCAA West Region behind Denver.

Women’s golf finishes eighth at Coyote Classic
The Omaha women’s golf team finished their first event at the Coyote Classic on Tuesday in eighth place, with a team score of 1,025. The Mavericks were led by sophomore Megan Vetrovsky, who scored a 247, good for 22nd overall. Freshman Jordan York finished 36th overall in her first collegiate tournament with a score of 259. The Mavericks travel south for their next tournament on Sept. 28-29 at the Oral Roberts Shootout in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Maverick hockey slated for additional national air-time
Since CBS announced their schedule including three Omaha nationally televised games, the National Collegiate Hockey Conference revealed yet another three games to be air on national TV featuring UNO. The NCHC announced that Omaha’s games against Air Force on Oct. 23 and North Dakota on Feb. 27 will air on the American Sports Network. The Mavericks’ rivalry game at North Dakota on Jan. 16 will air on Fox College Sports.
