Spring Volunteer Fair, Feb. 24
On Tuesday, Feb. 24, 40 Omaha nonprofit organizations will be set up at the Barbara Weitz Community EngagementCenter. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the nonprofits will discuss volunteer options with students, faculty and staff. Some notable organizations that will be available on Tuesday are the American Cancer Society, Big Brothers big Sisters of the Midlands, Habitat for Humanity, Siena Francis House and Special Olympics Nebraska.
Medieval and Renaissance Students host artist/conservator Kenneth Bé, Feb. 25
On Feb. 25, artist and paintings conservator Kenneth Bé will discuss modern painting restoration techniques. Bé will use the conservation treatment of an early 16th Century painting of Mary Magdalene as an example of modern restoration. The event begins at 6 p.m. in CPACS 132. Students, faculty and the public are invited to attend.
Career and Internship Fair, Feb. 26
UNO’s Academic and Career Development Center (ACDC) is hosting its annual Spring Career and Internship Fair on February 16. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., a host of different companies will be fielding questions and making connections with students and alumni in the Milo Bail Center Ballroom.
