The Omaha women’s basketball team capped off its regular season with a 70-60 home victory over Denver. The Mavericks improved to 14-14 (7-9 Summit League).
Junior Mikaela Shaw led the Mavericks with a double-double off 22 points and 11 rebounds. Freshman Caroline Hogue followed with 14 points and sophomore Remy Davenport chipped in 13 points and seven boards.
As a team, Omaha shot 47.9 percent from the field. The Mavericks outrebounded Denver 41-29 and had 15 assists to the Pioneers’ nine.
No. 6 seed Omaha is now scheduled to take on No. 6 seed IUPUI in the Summit Legue Women’s Tournament.
Tip-off is set for 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 6.
