Joslyn Art Museum will debut the re-opening of their European art galleries this Saturday, May 20. The five gallery rooms originally closed for renovations on Feb. 12, during which time artworks in the galleries were reinstalled.
Many old favorites from Joslyn’s European collection return to the galleries, along with some new acquisitions. The space has also undergone renovations, with updated paint, lighting and new labels for the artwork.
The public opening begins at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Guides will be stationed around the reopened galleries to answer visitor questions, and the galleries will remain open until 4 p.m. that day.
