On March 8, the UNO Career Center hosted the Spring 2011 Job Fair in the second floor ballroom in the Milo Bail Student Center.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a large turnout of students and alumni eagerly pursued opportunities and gained knowledge of the working world. Professional attire was expected at the event, and all attendees were urged to bring a current resume.
Participating businesses set up booths where students and alumni could talk with representatives about potential career paths, the business world and making their way into a new job out of college.
More than 75 businesses were represented at the fair, among them ConAgra Foods, Interpublic Group, Wells Fargo, Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, Gallup, ExxonMobil, National Indemnity Company, Applied Underwriters and Union Pacific.
All businesses were ready to recruit students and alumni to full-time, part-time or internship positions, according to the UNO Career Center’s Facebook page.
