The UNO women's soccer team scored two second-half corner kicks to overcome a 2-1 deficit and earned their first-ever Division I win Sunday at South Dakota. After falling behind for the second straight weekend, the Mavs put in two goals in an 11-minute span.
All-Summit League forward Max Touloute came off the bench to spark his team to three goals in 15 minutes, and Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne finished off UNO 6-0 Sunday afternoon. Facing their second future conference foe of the season, the Mavs were unable to capture the magic they found against Summit League member UMKC on Aug. 26.
The UNO women's soccer team hosted their first-ever home games as a Division 1 member last weekend, winning one and earning a draw in the other. The Mavs faced off against Central Oklahoma on Friday and Midwestern State on Sunday, two teams that had both beaten UNO a year ago.
