The women's soccer team became the first UNO sport to compete in a Division I contest, falling 2-0 at Wisconsin-Green Bay Friday night. Hekla Palmadottir scored both goals for the Phoenix who outshot the Mavs 23-8 overall and 7-5 in shots on goal.
The UNO women's soccer team needed a win in their final match of the season at Northern Colorado to even their record up at 6-6-2. A goal by the Bears in the 84th minute sealed a 1-0 defeat and denied the Mavs a shot at .500.
