The UNO women's soccer team capped off a perfect week with a dramatic 1-0 overtime victory in Saturday's senior day matchup with Washburn University. With another 1-0 victory earlier in the week at Western Illinois, the Mavs improved their record to 5-6-1 and have a chance to get to .500 with one game left in the season.
In December 2010, Jessica Powers graduated from UNO with a B.S. in exercise science. Less than a year later, Powers is putting her degree into practice by becoming the owner of a new gym in downtown Papillion.
The UNO women's soccer team suffered big second halves by their opponents and dropped two matches in their weekend trip to Colorado. After a scoreless first half on Friday and a 2-1 halftime lead on Sunday, the Mavs allowed seven total goals in the second halves of both games.

UNO women's soccer traveled to North Dakota last weekend, defeating North Dakota 2-1 on Friday, and dropping a 3-1 decision to North Dakota State on Sunday afternoon. With the split the Mavs move to 3-3-2 on the season, and are half way through their current eight game road trip.
The Mavs traveled to Washington last weekend earning a 1-1 draw at St. Martin's on Thursday and falling 5-0 to Seattle Pacific on Saturday. With just one goal on the weekend, UNO is still trying to find a consistent scoring threat on the roster.
