UNO women improve effort but still fall short

UNO's women's basketball team fought hard but couldn't make up for a 14-point second-half deficit, losing to Missouri Southern 76-66 Saturday at Sapp Fieldhouse.


Bemidji continues to frustrate Mavericks

 

Bemidji State's Matt Read scored 52 seconds into overtime to give the Beavers a 3-2 win and his team left Omaha taking seven out of a possible eight points in the season series.  With the tie on Friday and the loss Saturday, the Mavs are now 3-6-1 in their last 10 games.

Mav Hockey struggles to break 1-3 record during break

When the first semester ended and while most of us were still enjoying time off from classes and sleeping in, the Maverick hockey team embarked on road trips to two different time zones. UNO played in  Colorado Springs against the Tigers of Colorado College and, eleven days later went across the country to Hamden, Conn. to face the Quinnipiac Bobcats.


Albers’ half court buzzer-beater sinks Central Missouri mules 81-79

 

Mitch Albers sank a 55-foot half-court shot as time expired and UNO escaped Warrensburg, Mo. with an 81-79 victory over the Central Missouri Mules on Saturday night.
