Golf teams trying to adjust to winter’s persistence

Like every other sport on campus, the men's and women's golf teams have had a rough go of getting the weather to cooperate in 2013.  But unlike every sport on campus, it makes that much more of a difference when success is based on getting practice time outside in the elements.

Women’s golf team finishes season with two top ten finishes

In 2012, the women's golf team had only done as well as a ninth place finish at the IPFW Spring Classic on April 2.  For most of the season, UNO finished tournaments outside the top 10.


Men’s golf ends season with two top 5s

The men's golf team had a busy weekend competing at the Hotels at Grand Prairie Invitational Friday and Saturday in Peoria, Ill., then returning to Nebraska for the Midland Invite in Fremont on Monday.  Though it might have been a busy travel schedule, the Mavs didn't show it on the course.


Women’s golf tenth at Bradley

The women's golf team completed a three-round event at Bradley with their worst score of the weekend, a 346 in the final round to finish 10th out of 10 teams.
