Senate candidate Bob Kerrey made a second visit to UNO this semester. Kerrey spoke to dozens of students in the School of Communication and faculty members about how changes in the media have affected campaigning.
“There’s a different set of challenges and opportunities when you’re trying to organize a campaign,” Kerrey said. “You can identify where your voters are, what they’re thinking and you can communicate with them in a lot of ways that aren’t visible in traditional media.”
The visit was arranged in part by UNO alum Paul Critchlow. Critchlow, a long-time friend of Kerrey, has given him his endorsement despite being a Republican.
“I endorse him whole-heartedly and without reservation,” Critchlow said. “He’s just a man of great character.”
