The Omaha Police Department’s Southeast Precinct will host its 13th Annual SAFE (Safety Awareness Fitness and Education) event Saturday at the Salvation Army KROC Center, 2825 Y St., from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The community event features several fun learning activities for people of all ages, including clowns, Keystone cops, face painting, food games, a bouncy house, a bike rodeo, free raffle prizes and music by the Omaha Street Percussion.

Also at the event, a health fair boasts more than 20 educational and health booths, including the following police and fire displays: ABLE 1 (helicopter), Emergency Response Unit, fire engine, Mounted Patrol, and the graffiti van.

The mission of the SAFE event is to empower families while they learn about safety, awareness of programs and other information, fitness/health, and education to help benefit them in a fun and safe atmosphere.
