UFOs, Paranormal Activity Focus of April 2 Symposium
UFOs and the paranormal will be discussed at the second annual UNO UFO Symposium on Saturday, April 2.
From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Milo Bail Student Center, attendees will hear from a variety of local and regional speakers and experts on UFOs and paranormal activity. The UNO UFO Study Group and the UNO Paranormal Society have organized the annual event.
Tickets are $10 per person and available at the door on April 2.
Zeta Tau Alpha Kick Out Cancer Event is April 2
The Zeta Tau Alpha sorority will host their annual Kick Out Cancer kickball tournament on Saturday, April 2, in Elmwood Park at 10 a.m.
Team registration costs $50 per team if registered before March 19, and $65 after March 19 or the day of the tournament.

‘Just Can It!’ Fundraiser Returns to Crossroads Mall April 4
Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and Alpha Xi Delta sorority will participate in the eighth annual “Just Can It!” event April 4 through April 8. The students will sleep outside in cardboard boxes at the Crossroads Mall parking lot to raise awareness about homelessness.
All UNO students are encouraged to collect monetary and food donations throughout the week for the Salvation Army. Donations can be dropped off anytime at the Crossroads Mall parking lot that week.
UNO Honors Convocation Events Set for April 7
UNO will recognize outstanding faculty and students on Thursday, April 7, at its annual Honors Convocation events.
The Faculty Honors Convocation pays tribute to the recipients of the university’s outstanding teaching, research and creative activity, mentoring, service-learning and distinguished professorship awards. A breakfast event in their honor will take place at 7 a.m. in the Milo Bail Student Center Ballroom.
The Student Convocation will take place at 4 p.m. in the Strauss Performing Arts Center. The Student Honors Convocation recognizes outstanding undergraduate and graduate students with graduate scholarships, undergraduate major honoree awards and awards from the deans and the senior vice chancellor. Students will also be recognized for outstanding service-learning, leadership and student-athlete excellence.
