The Omaha softball team went 3-0 In their weekend series at Fort Wayne. The Mavericks are now ◡̈-19 overall and 5-0 In conference play.
Game 1: W 17-6
-UNO scored 17 runs on 17 hits and made 3 errors.
-Fort Wayne scored their 6 runs on 7 hits and made 4 errors.
-Sydney Hames went 4-for-4 with a double, two home runs and five RBI.
-Kelly Pattison went 1-for-4 with a grand slam home run and four RBI.
Game 2: W 19-1
-UNO scored their 19 runs on 13 hits and made 2 errors.
-Fort Wayne scored their 1 run on 3 hits and made 6 errors.
-Abbie Clanton earned the win to improve to 7-7 on the season. She went 5.0 innings, striking out 5 and walking 2.
-Campbell Ditto led Omaha offensively, going 2-for-5 with a home run, a single and 4 RBI.
Game 3: W 21-11
-Freshman Laura Roecker made the start for UNO on the mound.
-Omaha struck for a season-high 12 runs in the second inning.
-Lizzie Noble hit a three-run home run in the second inning to give Omaha a 10-run lead.
-Kourtney Pock followed Noble with a solo shot in the same inning.
Omaha returns to action on Wednesday, April 6 when they host Drake for a double header. Game times are set for 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Westside Field at Westbrook.
