Lambda Chi Alpha crowns their Crescent Girl

In hopes of becoming the first annual Crescent Girl, seven Female collegians competed in the Lambda Chi Alpha Crescent Girl Pageant. All seven girls represented a chapter in the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s sororities. The event was held at the Thompson Alumni Center Thursday afternoon.
The seven participants were Paola Ramirez of Sigma Lambda Gamma, Brianne Cox of Alpha Xi Delta, Julie Trinh of Zeta Tau Alpha, Ashley Dail of Zeta Tau Alpha and Megan Fowler of Zeta Tau Alpha. The pageant included a talent and question portion in which the winner would be chosen by a panel of three judges.
The event was filled with fun and laughter until seconds before the winner was announced. All seven girls stood in suspense as they awaited for their name to be announced as the first Crescent Girl.
When the winner was finally announced, junior Megan Fowler of Zeta Tau Alpha came up slowly, due to her leg being in a cast, to collect her sash and tiara. She stood center stage as two students of Lambda Chi Alpha sang the special and unique song of ‘Crescent Girl.’ The event ended as it began, with high spirits and friends at each other’s side.
