Are you ready to party in style?
The Graduate Student Association at the University of Nebraska Medical Center will host the second annual HOLI Festival of Colors this Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the grassy area of the Ruth and Bill Scott Student Plaza, near 42nd and Emile Streets.
The Hindu spring festival, celebrated in India and becoming popular internationally, symbolizes rejuvenation and optimism. The event will include Indian snacks, music, games and lots of spring color. Packets of colored corn starch are thrown in celebration. The first color throw will be at 12:30 p.m.
The event was rescheduled from April 18 due to weather.
