First ever Dishcrawl hits the Omaha metro

By Natali Bianco, Entertainment Editor

On April 23, the first ever Dishcrawl will be hitting the Omaha metro.
Founded in San Jose, Calif., Dishcrawl is a play on the popular events called “barcrawls” in which participants travel around different bars, seeing what each one has to offer.
Similarly, Dishcrawl will travel through downtown Omaha, touring some of the area’s most popular restaurants and sampling their specialties.
Dishcrawlers will not only get to sample food masterpieces, but will also get the opportunity to meet the chefs responsible for the creations.
The Dishcrawl company firmly believes that communities can be brought together through good food and good company.  The event is a creative way to help up-and-coming local restaurants gain exposure through a fun night of mingling and culinary bliss.
The first Dishcrawl will take participants to four local restaurants, but the locations are being held in secret.  You can follow Dishcrawl on Twitter (@dishcrawloma) for hints to the lineup.
Tickets to the event are $45 per person. Singles, couples and groups are welcome to participate.  You can find out more info or purchase tickets online at
