Mavs disappoint in home finale

The UNO volleyball team played its final competitive home match of the season Tuesday night, losing in straight sets to South Dakota.  Before the match, the Mavs honored the personal and athletic achievements of their three seniors- Brittany Hanssen, Emily Myers and Angie Reicks.

That's where the good feelings ended.

Volleyball Doubles Win Total at Lady Blues Classic

Mavs manage only 2 set wins at Bradley Tournament

UNO volleyball won just two sets all tournament and left the CEFCU Classic in Peoria, Ill. with an 0-3 record to start the season.  Friday the Mavs lost a 3-1 match to the University of Illinois-Chicago, came back for another 3-1 loss to Bradley that evening and dropped a 3-0 decision to the same Bradley team the next morning.


Still searching for consistency

The UNO volleyball team played four matches in last weekend's UNO Showcase tournament, only managing one win over two days.  For a team that normally begins each season on a roll, the Mavs are in a very unfamiliar position.
