Steelers, Packers share strengths, winning traditions

Two of the NFL's most storied franchises will clash on Sunday in Arlington, Texas in Super Bowl XLV.

Either the Pittsburgh Steelers will cement their status as the NFL's premier franchise by adding a record seventh title or the Green Bay Packers will capture their fourth championship.

Swimming and Diving tops Nebraska-Kearney

The UNO swimming and diving team defeated Nebraska-Kearney on Saturday by a score of 163-90.  The victory comes a day after their 109-185 loss to Nebraska-Lincoln.


Hockey begins homestand against Alabama-Huntsville

After the first 12 games of the season, UNO hockey led the nation in scoring at 4.17 goals per game, resulting in a 9-2-1 record.  Since then, scoring has been hard to come by.


Mavs Pull Off Upset Special

The Mavericks shocked No. 6 Washburn 87-83 Saturday at Sapp Fieldhouse, handing the Lady Blues their second loss of the season. The Mavs' upset victory followed a 98-59 beating at the hands of Pittsburg State on Wednesday.


Growing Rivalry

After a stretch that saw the Mavs win only three of ten games, the chances for success at No. 2 North Dakota looked bleak.  Since the two teams last played in mid-November, the Mavs and Fighting Sioux had been moving in opposite directions.
