Volleyball plays 3 matches in 4 days

The UNO women's volleyball team faced three Division I opponents last week, sandwiching a home match on Wednesday between trips to Wichita and Kansas City.  The Mavs pushed UMKC to five sets on Wednesday, while falling 3-0 to Wichita St. on Tuesday and 3-1 to North Dakota on Friday.


Women’s Soccer Falls to Future Conference Foe

The Mavs  only managed one late goal and fell 2-1 in a Saturday night matchup with future Summit League foe UMKC.  Taylor Bare had both goals for the Kangaroos, who won their first home game of the season and just their second game of the year.


Men’s Soccer faces Mercer at Werner Park Friday Night

In their second home appearance of the year, the UNO men's soccer team will face Mercer University in a 7 p.m. match-up at the new Werner Park this Friday night.  After the match with the Bears, the Mavs will only have one more home date on the year.


Recruiting an Advantage

Last Tuesday, Head Coach Dean Blais announced that the UNO hockey team had chosen senior forward Alex Hudson and junior forward Terry Broadhurst as team captains. Hudson and Broadhurst will start the new season not only as captains, but also as the Mavs' top two scorers from a year ago.


Road Warriors

UNO women's soccer traveled to North Dakota last weekend, defeating North Dakota 2-1 on Friday, and dropping a 3-1 decision to North Dakota State on Sunday afternoon. With the split the Mavs move to 3-3-2 on the season, and are half way through their current eight game road trip.


Finding peak performance

Place a plank on the floor and walk across it.  Not too difficult, right?  Now grab two six-foot ladders and place the plank across the tops of both ladders. Try walking across the plank this time.


Sorensen Shines in Denver

The UNO volleyball team traveled to Denver for the Colorado Premier Challenge last weekend, earning their second win of the season but dropping three others to go 2-10 on the year.  The Mavs' lone victory came in a 3-2 set win in Friday's 3:30 p.m. match against Cal Baptist.


Women’s soccer earns split in trip to Washington

The Mavs traveled to Washington last weekend earning a 1-1 draw at St. Martin's on Thursday and falling 5-0 to Seattle Pacific on Saturday.  With just one goal on the weekend, UNO is still trying to find a consistent scoring threat on the roster.
