After a season of heartbreaks, the UNO football team had to feel a measure of justice in Saturday's 62-61 victory over Truman State. Sophomore quarterback John Teigland found senior tight end Mike Higgins with 30 seconds left and the Mavs held off the Bulldogs last drive to secure the victory.
Missouri Western quarterback Drew Newhart found receiver Adam Clausen in the back of the end zone with 16 seconds remaining when the Griffons defeated the Mavs 16-14 Saturday afternoon. UNO had scored 1:24 earlier to take a 14-10 lead, but couldn't hold it as Missouri Western drove 64 yards in seven plays to take the lead for good.

With four seconds remaining in the Mavs game Saturday against the No. 9 Central Missouri Mules, Mules quarterback Eri Czerniewski found receiver Jamorris Warren for a 9-yard touchdown. Warren's second touchdown of the game gave Central Missouri the victory, coming back from a 31-7 fourth quarter deficit.
