Mavs end regular season with dramatic fourth quarter win

After a season of heartbreaks, the UNO football team had to feel a measure of justice in Saturday's 62-61 victory over Truman State. Sophomore quarterback John Teigland found senior tight end Mike Higgins with 30 seconds left and the Mavs held off the Bulldogs last drive to secure the victory.

Heartbreaker guarantees first losing season since ’95

Missouri Western quarterback Drew Newhart found receiver Adam Clausen in the back of the end zone with 16 seconds remaining when the Griffons defeated the Mavs 16-14 Saturday afternoon. UNO had scored  1:24 earlier to take a 14-10 lead, but couldn't hold it as Missouri Western drove 64 yards in seven plays to take the lead for good.
