Academic-focused dating site comes to UNO

Lonely souls may soon find relief.  DateMySchool.com, a meeting and dating website for connecting students on college campuses, is coming to UNO.


Affordable, comfortable living at Scott Court

Scott Court features many amenities: wireless internet, basic cable, local phone service, recycling, electricity, sewer, gas and possible weekly housekeeping in individual suites. The resident halls also have secured access for both the building and parking area, as well as paid utilities.


New students can expect increased tuition

Average full-time tuition at UNO will increase $135 this fall semester. The University of Nebraska Board of Regents unanimously approved a 2011-12 operating budget June 17 that would raise tuition by 5 percent, continuing similar increases over the past seven years.


UNO donations give refugees a place to rest

UNO has donated 284 dorm beds from University Village to Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska (LFS). Replacing the old beds with newer, more efficient furniture, UNO has given many refugees a place to sleep through their donation to LFS's refugee resettlement program.


Roskens, Kayser become new homes on campus

Roskens Hall, the new home to UNO's College of Education, officially opened to students August 8.  The $13.7 million renovation project took a year to complete, beginning August 2010 when the College of Business moved to Mammel Hall at the Pacific Street location.
