Contest seeks original short works by Nebraska students

UNO's Department of Foreign Languages, Masters of Arts in Language Teaching and the Office of Latino/Latin American Studies has teamed up with the Nebraska Humanities council to offer a way for young Spanish writers to publish their work.

‘Moon’ a tragic story of love and loss

"I imagine this play as if it were an old photo album…a love note left between two pages of a book. It captures a moment in these…people's lives that changes them," read the director's notes from Zack Jennison in the program to his production of "A Moon for the Misbegotten." Jennison's graduate thesis production was simple yet beautiful and executed his vision perfectly.

The Results are in!

Results for student government election proved a solid victory for Devin Bertelsen, PR/Advertising major and Shawn Addison, Business Management, after a close vote outcome Tuesday evening. Following a brief delay, votes for the 2012-2013 student regent were announced. Bertelsen and Addison won against Steffanie Hoffman, Biotechnology and Neuroscience major and Tyler Gatrost, Business major, by a close vote of 287 to 382 votes. Total voter turnout was 657 votes.

UNO’s Paranormal Summit a frightening and fun success

More than 100 people gathered Friday night in room 101 of the CPACS building to hear and see evidence of the paranormal. UNO's Paranormal Society put together the 2011 Paranormal Summit. Admission was $5 per person and the event was held from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
