CultureFest 2011 creates a foundation for diversity

LeAnn Clausen's journey to a booth in the UNO ballroom was a long time coming, but the journey was not hers alone. Hours of genealogical work, a passion for her history and a genuine interest in heritage, all championed and completed by her grandmother, are what brought her to UNO on Feb. 27.

UNO’s Chamber Orchestra gives brilliant performance

UNO's Chamber Orchestra may very well be the university's best-kept secret. During its concert on Feb. 22 in the Strauss Performing Arts Center Recital Hall, that secret was revealed to more than 40 members in the audience who witnessed the small ensemble's extraordinary talent.

A night of classical guitar

UNO's classical guitar players held a fundraiser at the Pizza Shoppe on Feb. 20 to raise money to bring world-renowned guitarist Ricardo Izaoloa. The fundraiser was held from 6 to 10 p.m and featured undergraduate students from the classical guitar department: Melissa Dundis, Jacob Duncan, Ben Eisenberger, Zae Larson, Kevin Sullivan, Max Meyer, Andrew Stickman, Carl Miller, Charles Lime, Blair Koehn and Shawn Daley.
